Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Christina Applegate are 'Bad Moms'
The husband and wife duo of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann were set to team-up for the comedy, Bad Moms, from The Hangover writers Jon Lucas & Scott Moore. While there was a great deal of potential in that collaboration, Apatow and Mann couldn't fit it into their schedule and dropped out, leaving the film in limbo. A few weeks later and it's suddenly been revived with a trio of talented leading ladies on board.
According to THR, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Christina Applegate will star in the film that will no longer be titled Bad Moms, perhaps to get some distance from Jennifer Aniston's Mean Moms. Imagine The Hangover for mommies and that's what you can expect. The film centers on a trio of stressed-out mothers who shed their responsibilities for some freedom and indulgence, earning the ire of the PTA and a clique of "perfect" moms.
No word on when filming begins but clearly the goal will be to turn this into a female-centric comedy franchise, which could be a good because all three women are incredibly funny and deserving of more screen time. Kunis and Bell last starred together in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, a comedy that helped bolster both of their film careers. Applegate was last seen in the failed Vacation reboot, although she was one of the better things about it.
