New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailer Is Everything Fans Could Want
Fanboys everywhere had to endure nearly two hours of *gasp* NFL football before Lucasfilm unveiled the final, epic trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But before that advanced tickets for the film went on sale and if you were hoping to score a pair for opening weekend, chances are it's already too late. So has all of the waiting and uproar been worth it?
There's pretty much everything fans could have hoped for with tons of new footage and teases of some brand new questions. Eagle-eyed filmgoers will no doubt be counting the number of J.J. Abrams' trademark lens flares, while others will be too busy swooning at the presence of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and an aerial dogfight involving the Millennium Falcon. Once again the focus was on the young cast of John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, the latter as the villainous Kylo Ren who has sworn to finish what Darth Vader started.
And yet there are still answers left to be answered. The latest poster hinted at a new Death Star; Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is suspiciously absent from every promo; and is it possible Boyega's character goes from Storm Trooper to Jedi Knight?
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th.
