Who missed last night's premiere of Supergirl? I did, but I'm about to check it out On Demand in just a few minutes. Based on the enthusiastic response from my friends and the generally strong reviews, the show is off to a hot start.
My biggest concern has always been the campy, goofy approach taken to the promos, but this new "What You Can Expect This Season" trailer released for the series focuses on the action, the villains, and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) showing how tough she can be. It also teases a love triangle between Kara Zor-El, James "Jimmy" Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and Winslow Schott (Jeremy Jordan); some workplace bitchiness from Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart); and the arrival of at least one fellow Kryptonian.
Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8pm on CBS.
