Ryan Reynolds will follow-up his maniacal turn in Deadpool with the dramedy, Truth in Advertising, which will be directed by Notting Hill's Roger Michell. Based on the book by John Kenney who also adapted the screenplay, the film has Reynolds as Finn Dolan, a man who is forced to reevaluate his life while working on an ad campaign during the Christmas holiday. Filming begins next year.
Michael Mann is looking to bounce back from the failed tech-thriller Blackhat with the biopic Enzo Ferrari. Christian Bale is already set to play the founder of the famous car company, and now the film has added Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) to the cast. She'll play Ferrari's wife, Laura Dominica. Paramount Pictures has stepped up to distribute the film, as well, proving the big studios haven't soured on Mann despite his recent trouble drawing audiences. [THR]
