Sofia Boutella Enters 'The Coldest City', Logan Marshall-Green Joins 'Sand Castle', Demian Bichir Leads '7:19'


Kingsman: The Sercret Service and Star Trek Beyond's Sofia Boutella has joined Charlize Theron in The Coldest City. Also starring James McAvoy and directed by David Leitch (John Wick), the spy thriller centers on secret agent  Lorraine Broughton who must find the list of spies carried by an MI6 agent killed on the eve of the Berlin Wall's collapse. The film is based on Antony Johnston's graphic novel and adapted by 300's Kurt Johnstad. [TheWrap]

Tom Hardy lookalike Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus) is replacing Luke Evans in the war drama, Sand Castle, which already stars Nicholas Hoult and Henry Cavill. Directed by Fernando Coimbra and penned by Chris Roesser based on his memoir, the story centers on Roesser's two years as a machine gunner in Iraq's dangerous Sunni Triangle. Hoult plays Matt Ocre, who along with his platoon leader must protect the people of Baqubah, a farming village. [THR]

Oscar-nominee Demian Bichir (A Better Life) will headline suspense thriller, 7:19, joining fellow Mexican actor, Hector Bonilla. Directed by Jorge Michel Grau who co-wrote the script with novelist Alberto Chimal, the story follows a politician and night security guard trapped in their building during the 1985 Mexico City earthquake.
