The dead just won't stay dead, but then what fun would that be? Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a film that seeks to have some fun with the tired old genre by tossing the undead into Jane Austen's cherished romance. The latest trailer for the film has more corsets, more kung-fu, and yes, more of the walking dead.
Directed by Burr Steers and based on the book by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith, the film reimagines Austen's Bennet girls as martial arts masters defending the world from zombies, all the while looking to find that perfect guy. Lily James (Cinderella) plays Elizabeth while Sam Riley (Control) is the distinguished Mr. Darcy, who happens to be the top zombie killer in all the land.
Also starring Bella Heathcote, Charles Dance, Lena Headey, Matt Smith, Suki Waterhouse, Emma Greenwell, Aisling Loftus, Douglas Booth and Jack Huston with a screenplay originally written by David O. Russell, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies opens February 5th 2016.
