Here's a simple truth that is best left unforgotten: When Dave Bautista is around someone is about to get hurt. This weekend he'll be causing James Bond all kinds of problems in Spectre, and let's not forget what he did as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, not to mention his time in the WWE. So imagine what he's going to do as the villainous muay thai master Tong Po in the upcoming reboot, Kickboxer: Vengeance, which brings back original star, Jean Claude Van Damme.
The first images from the film show Bautista with some pretty wild hair, but it's completely in keeping with Tong Po's look. Van Damme is also shown, but his role isn't the lead this time. Instead that falls to stuntman/actor Alain Moussi, who plays an American who challenges Po to get revenge for his brother's death in an underground kickboxing match. The film also stars mixed martial artists Gina Carano and Georges St. Pierre.
Directed by John Stockwell, Kickboxer: Vengeance hits the ring in 2016.
