Return to Wonderland in First Trailer for 'Alice Through the Looking Glass'
Want something to blame for Disney's unending run of live-action fairy tale adaptations? You have Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to thank for it, which grossed over $1B back in 2010, which was a lifetime ago in Hollywood terms. So it's a little surprising that it has taken this long for the sequel, but Alice Through the Looking Glass is here and ready to take audiences down the rabbit hole once more.
The first trailer has arrived and it doesn't look like much has changed in Wonderland, even with a new director in The Muppets' James Bobin. Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and of course Johnny Depp are back, along with Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Ed Speleers as James Harcourt, Rhys Ifans as Zanik Hightopp , and Sacha Baron Cohen as Time itself. You'll also hear the voices of Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall, and more. Here's the official synopsis:
In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
Alice Through the Looking Glass opens May 27th 2016.
