Adam Driver Eyes Leos Carax's Next Film with Rooney Mara; Has Role in Jim Jarmusch's 'Paterson'

2016 is shaping up to be huge for Adam Driver. Forget Star Wars for a minute and consider that he's also got projects with Martin Scorsese (Silence) and Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special), both already looking like some of the year's best. And now he's also got movies lined up with Leos Carax and Jim Jarmusch, adding to the list of top directors seeking out his talents.

According to a French Magazine (via TheFilmStage), Driver and Rooney Mara are circling Carax's musical comedy follow-up to 2012's bizarre Holy Motors. There aren't any details but the project is looking at a budget of around 10 to 12 million Euros and adding stars of their level should help nail down financing. Naturally, Carax will be re-teaming with cinematographer Caroline Champetier so at least we know it will be gorgeous, and probably more than a little weird.

Totally in secret, Driver has already completed filming on Jim Jarmusch's next film, Paterson. The latest issue of Empire Magazine spilled the beans, but all we really know comes from comments Jarmusch made last year saying the film is set in present-day Paterson, New Jersey and centers ona "bus driver and poet".

So lots going on for Driver that doesn't involve lightsaber duels.
