First Trailer for Netflix's 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny'

Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was a cultural phenomenon way back in 2000. It was one of those rare foreign language films (it was in Mandarin) that crossed over fully with American audiences, largely due to the glorious, graceful martial arts action. A lot of years have passed and while there was often talk of a sequel it never really seemed likely. But thanks to Netflix we now the long-awaited follow-up, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and the arrival of its first trailer.

Directing this one is famed choreographer Yuen Woo-Ping, known for his stunning sequences in The Matrix, Kill Bill, and The Grandmaster. Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Yu Shu-Lien who is drawn back into the fight she long ago abandoned. Donnie Yen, Harry Shum Jr, Jason Scott Lee, Roger Yuan, Eugenia Yuan, and Natasha Liu Bordizzoas co-star with Peter Berg and Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) on board as producers.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny hits Netflix in February 2016.
