Josh Hutcherson Joins James Franco's 'The Room' Film, 'The Disaster Artist'

Now that he's wrapped up one of the biggest and most popular franchises in Hollywood with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2, Josh Hutcherson is moving on to a film about one of the worst movies of all-time. According to THR Hutcherson is joining James Franco's The Disaster Artist, about the making of cult favorite, The Room.

Franco is directing and starring as Tommy Wiseau, the oddball director and star of The Room, which was so terrible it became an underground cinema phenomenon. You can find weekly showings of the film in just about every major city, including here in DC, and they continue to pack houses full of fans.  Franco's film co-stars his brother Dave as Greg Sistero, who also starred in The Room and wrote the book from which Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter (The Fault In Our Stars) based their adaptation. Seth Rogen has a role in the film, as well, with Hutcherson set to play Philip Haldiman who portrayed the Denny character.

This will be Hutcherson's third time working with Franco as he has recently wrapped on his adaptations of In Dubious Battle and The Long Home.
