New Trailer For 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Enters The Hall Of Faces

Last night proved to be a huge night for HBO with the premiere of Martin Scorsese's Vinyl and the return of Last Week Tonight, but it also saw the network drop a creepy new trailer for Game of Thrones season 6. And if you still needed more proof that Kit Harington's Jon Snow hasn't shuffled off the mortal coil quite yet, this should be all the evidence you need.

The minute-long spot takes place in the spooky Hall of Faces, where masks of the show's prominent characters rest.  Not only do we see masks for prominent dead characters such as Catelyn, Ned, and Robb Stark, but also Joffrey, and finally, Jon Snow, who says "The long night is coming and the dead come with it". Curiously, Snow's words are accompanied by a glimpse at a mask for a character who isn't dead yet, Tyrion Lannister.

What does it mean? The Hall of Faces is a place of transformation and possibly even rebirth, which is interesting because the show is undergoing a little bit of both as it moves beyond George R.R. Martin's books and into uncharted territory.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24th.
