"Hell's Kitchen is about to explode." That's an apt way of putting it considering the combustible mix of elements going into the second season of Netflix's hit Daredevil series. Not only do you have a guilt-ridden Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) struggling to protect his beloved city from crime, but now he has to protect them from the murderous vigilante, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), who, at least technically, is on his side even though they have very different approaches. Could it get any crazier for the Man without Fear?
Well, how about throwing in Daredevil's greatest love interest from the comics, the ninja assassin Elektra? Elodie Yung joins the second season as Elektra, but this trailer doesn't feature her at all. Instead it's totally focused on the dichotomy between Punisher and Daredevil, and how the latter's prior actions could open the door for more violent "heroes" to emerge. It's a pretty common thread in superhero stories, but it promises to have more edge given Netflix's loose restraints.
Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson will also return for Daredevil's second season, which you can start binge watching on March 18th.
