Ronda Rousey Really Wants To Play This Video Game Character In A Movie

How is there not already a movie based on Nintendo's classic adventure game, Metroid? Oh yeah, because of Super Mario Bros. and The Wizard, two Nintendo-based movies that were terrible and bombed at the box office. But that was a long time ago, and if there's anyone who can make a Metroid film happen now its Ronda Rousey.

The ex-UFC champ-turned-actress has expressed to Gamespot her desire to star as Metroid's bounty hunting heroine, Samus Aran.

"I’ve always wanted to be Samus. That would be badass. I love how people found out later that it was a hot chick on the inside. And then most of the day you’re in a suit, so you can just hang out and eat donuts and be the star of Metroid. I hope they make a movie out of that.”

Rousey has been talking a lot lately about roles she hopes to play in the future, like joining the MCU as Captain Marvel. But she has plenty of projects that are a reality now. She's set to lead a remake of the Patrick Swayze classic, Road House, and has an adaptation of her memoir, "My Fight/Your Fight", in which she'll star as herself.

With Nintendo recently deciding it may be a good idea to start making movies again, Rousey could get her wish.
