Batman Drops The Mic In First Trailer For 'The Lego Batman Movie'

This weekend Warner Bros. drops Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice into all of our laps, with its grim, overly serious heroes punching one another to see who can smile the least. That's great and all, but what if you want your Dark Knight to be serious but in kind of a funny way? And what if you want him made out of Legos? Then the studio has something for you, as well, with the hilarious first trailer for The Lego Batman Movie.

The film is a spinoff of The Lego Movie as part of their huge expansion of the $470M-grossing animated smash. And just as Bruce Wayne was an arrogant blowhard in that film, he's doubly so when given the full spotlight. Will Arnett is back voicing the gravelly Bale-voiced Batman, who not only drops a sick rap flow but drops the mic on all of us before going out to save Gotham City, totally for all the right reasons.

This could be a lot of fun, and the voicework should be spot-on with Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, Mariah Carey as Gotham's mayor, and Rosario Dawson as Batgirl.

Directed by Chris McKay, The Lego Batman Movie opens February 10th 2017.
