That Swiss actress Carla Juri was able to make us feel anything but nauseous during the gross-out rom-com Wetlands is proof she's a star on the rise. Earlier this year at Sundance she brought a funny and heartwarming quality to the acclaimed coming-of-age comedy Morris from America (review of that one here), and now Juri has landed the role that could finally put her on the map stateside.
Juri has joined Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, and Dave Bautista in Blade Runner 2, which Denis Villenueve will direct. Details on characters is being kept under wraps, but we do know is the film will take place decades after Ridley Scott's 1982 classic. Juri looks like she would make an awesome replicant, though. Just sayin'.
Blade Runner 2 opens October 6th 2017.
