The very concept behind Storks tells you who its target audience is. The film works on the belief that all babies come from storks, one of those silly things parents tell their kids to postpone a more serious conversation for later. But then you see Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street) as producers and Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors) as a director and can't help but wonder if maybe there's something more to it.
If so, the trailers have been doing a good job of hiding it. Featuring the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Andy Samberg, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Kelsey Grammer, Ty Burrell (Is he in every animated movie??), Danny Trejo, and Katie Crown, the film centers on a stork who accidentally creates one extra human baby and goes on a journey to find it a home.
Storks flies into theaters on September 23rd.
