'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Adds 'Beasts Of No Nation' Breakout Abraham Attah
Cary Fukunaga's Beasts of No Nation didn't get the awards accolades many expected, but it didn't have to do with the performances. Idris Elba received most of the attention for his role as the Commandant, but the film truly belonged to his young star, 14-year-old Abraham Attah, as a child soldier in an African rebel army. The role marked Attah's acting debut, and already he's making the leap to his first Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
Attah is the latest to join the rapidly expanding cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. There has been a flurry of activity lately with the additions of Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Logan Marshall-Green, and Martin Starr. As per usual there aren't any details on Attah's role but we can assume it will be as a student at Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) school.
Unfortunately what we won't get is a 'Beasts' reunion between Attah's character and Elba's Heimdall from the Thor movies, unless there's some truly wild shit that goes down. Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th 2017 directed by Jon Watts. [Deadline]
