First 'Wonder Woman' Trailer Reveals Her Heroic Destiny

Just yesterday we got a small taste of the power, grace, wisdom, and wonder of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman with the film's debut poster. But that was just to get fans ready for what would come today, straight from the Warner Bros. panel as the first official trailer has arrived.

And what a trailer it is, beginning with Diana Prince's first encounter with man, who happens to be her future love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), the film is set during WWI as takes the first steps to becoming the hero we know her to be.  To do that, she must become leave her island paradise and venture into the outside world at a time of great conflict.

It's a wonderfully fresh premise, shot beautifully by Patty Jenkins who seems to have a firm control on the action scenes, as well as the quieter moments between Gadot and Pine. What's more, it doesn't come close to looking like anything Zack Snyder has done before, which is important as Warner Bros. tries to diversity their DCU slate.

Also starring Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Lucy Davis. Wonder Woman opens June 2nd 2017.
