When a novel hits the best-seller list as rapidly as Jenny Mollen's memoir Live Fast Die Hot, it's only a matter of time before Hollywood comes calling. In this case the book was only out two months and already it's being adapted as a starring vehicle for Anne Hathaway.
Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to the book penned by Mollen, who happens to be the wife of American Pie star, Jason Biggs. Her writings chronicle the impulsive and eccentric author's social media-heavy life, until everything changed when she became pregnant with their son. Hathaway would obviously play Mollen, and at least on paper it sounds like a role perfect for the quirky actress, but a lot could depend on who else is added to the production.
As of now there is no writer or director attached, but Mollen will be on board as an exec-producer and will probably have some say in who is chosen. As for Hathaway, add this to her list of upcoming projects which include the monster film Colossal and Ocean's Eight alongside Sandra Bullock. [Deadline]
