Kate Mara Would Love To Do A 'Fantastic Four' Sequel If Somehow That Were To Happen

Is anybody clamoring for a sequel to Josh Trank's Fantastic Four? Probably not, but let's be honest here. What are the chances the next film would be as disastrous as the first? Probably pretty slim, and no matter what the cast is still very good. But would those same actors come back for another one? Miles Teller, who played Reed Richards, has said he'd return, and now Kate Mara is open to the idea, as well. She tells IGN while promoting her new sci-fi film, Morgan...

"Oh yeah, I'd love to be a part of a Fantastic Four sequel or whatever they may or may not have in store for us, and I know all the guys feel the same way. We loved working with each other and we would love to actually play these characters in another way, somehow, in the future. I have no idea if that's actually true, if that will happen, but I'd be really happy to do it."

That may just be her putting a positive spin on the situation, but as of now she seems willing to play Susan Storm yet again. Producer/writer Simon Kinberg has expressed his desire to bring back everyone for a much "brighter" movie, while Michael B. Jordan has moved on to Marvel's Black Panther. Doubtful he'd be able to play Johnny Storm again even if Fox wanted him to.

So we'll see what happens here, but there are some things to consider. Fox has pulled a sequel completely off the schedule after originally setting it for June 2017. That said, if they want to hold on to the rights they'll need to make another one at some point, otherwise it goes back to Marvel which is what fans are dying to see happen.
