'Arrested Development' Season 5 Gets Green Light At Netflix

Jason Bateman warned us it may be happening, and now today Netflix has confirmed it: Arrested Development is coming back for a fifth season. Here's creator Mitch Hurwitz having some fun with the official statement:

“In talks with Netflix we all felt that that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days. I am so grateful to them and to 20th Century Fox TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”

Any chance to take a shot at the Trumps is greatly appreciated. Anyway, Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat are all coming back to play the Bluths and Fünkes, and let's hope this time we get to see them together on screen a bit more than we did in season 4, which was a disjointed mess.

Nothing on what this new season will be about, although rumors have been flying around for years so you can just search the web and pick one. Look for the new season to arrive in 2018.
