Maximus Plots Treason In First Teaser For Marvel's 'Inhumans'
Not that you asked but Marvel is going to make sure ye receives it anyway. After we got the first look at ABC's Inhumans TV series yesterday, the first teaser has dropped so we can get a glimpse at the Inhuman Royal Family.
There isn't much that's revealed here other than the plotting Maximus, played by Game of Thrones bad guy Iwan Rheon. These are not the same characters seen in Agents of SHIELD; the series is more closely in line with the comics centered on king Black Bolt (Anson Mount), his wife Medusa (Serinda Swan), and others in a Game of Thrones-type battle for power. Here's the synopsis:
The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. “Marvel’s The Inhumans” will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.
Scott Buck, who recently wrapped up Marvel's Iron Fist series (take that for what it's worth) is acting as showrunner here, too. Inhumans will get a theatrical IMAX run of the first two episodes on September 1st before hitting the small screen on September 26th.
