Quietly, Robert Pattinson's career has become one of the most interesting to follow, much like his Twilight co-star and former ex Kristen Stewart. He's made it a point to work almost entirely with auteurs, and experimental underground filmmakers on projects that fulfill him creatively even if they'll never see the inside of a multiplex. I encourage you to check out his understated yet powerful performance in The Lost City of Z, which is in theaters now. And Pattinson continues his streak by joining with Heaven Knows What directors Josh and Bennie Safdie for Good Time, which looks like a thrill-a-minute experience.
Also starring Barkhad Abdi and Jennifer Jason Leigh, the film follows one wild night in New York City as a failed bank robber tries to get his brother out of jail and avoid the long reach of the law. The synopsis pounds on the self-congratulatory hyperbole so let's hope it lives up to the hype:
