The X-Men Hit The Small Screen In First Teaser For 'The Gifted'

The X-Men are coming to TV. Fox's X-Men series from Matt Nix, titled The Gifted, has just been given a full season order by Fox. That's before the pilot, which will be directed by Bryan Singer, has even aired, showing that they have a ton of confidence in Marvel's merry mutants. To celebrate, Fox has debuted the first teaser which shows some mutant powers put into action.

The footage gives us a look at Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, who along with her brother Andy (Percy Hynes) discover they possess extraordinary abilities. Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker play their parents who force them to flee from a hostile government, eventually connecting with an underground mutant rebellion. We see Lauren showing off her powers to her brother, and another character whose green energy signature suggests she may be Lorna Dane aka Polaris, played by Emma Dumont. It was a little quick but we may also have seen Blair Redford in the role of John "Thunderbird" Proudstar alongside Moyer.

The Gifted will premiere this fall. Watch out for a full trailer on May 15th.
