Another Chilling Trailer For 'The Killing Of A Sacred Deer'

If Yorgos Lanthimos' oddball rom-com The Lobster twisted you into knots, then who knows what The Killing of a Sacred Deer will do because it looks twice as messed up. The film, which has already earned raves at Cannes, reunites Lanthimos with Colin Farrell for a devastatingly evil tale about a family ripped apart by a malevolent teen.  Farrell is joined by Nicole Kidman, Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk), Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland), Alicia Silverstone, and Bill Camp.

Check out the synopsis to go along with the new trailer, which I'm not watching because I just can't risk seeing any more than has already been put out there. That's how eagerly I'm awaiting this thing.

Dr. Steven Murphy (Colin Farrell) is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon presiding over a spotless household with his ophthalmologist wife Anna (Nicole Kidman) and their two exemplary children, 12-year-old Bob (Sunny Suljian) and 14-year-old Kim (Raffey Cassidy). Lurking at the margins of his idyllic suburban existence is Martin (Barry Keoghan), a fatherless teen who Steven has covertly taken under his wing. As Martin begins insinuating himself into the family’s life in ever-more unsettling displays, the full scope of his intent becomes menacingly clear when he confronts Steven with a long- forgotten transgression that will shatter the Murphy family’s domestic bliss.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer opens October 27th.
