After all the hoopla that went on in the blogosphere about Kristen Stewart playing Joan Jett, I was a bit suprised that the movie featuring her as the rock icon didn't actually focus on her. The film's main focus is lead singer of 'The Runaways' Cherie, played by an all to adult looking Dakota Fanning. The film follows the rise and, presumably, fall of 'The Runaways', an all girl rock band. I'm not really sure what to think of this flick yet, the trailer hasn't told me enough. This could be your run of the mill rock star story with an all girl twist, or it could be something all new and interesting. There are tons of possibilities but part of me says they stay safe and go with the music movie template. Anyway, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
