I feel sorta bad that I still haven't seen the original Hatchet, director Adam Green's well-received slasher from back in 2007. Hatchet features a Jason Voorhees like character(played by Kane Hodder, who actually played Voorhees a number of times) named Victor Crowley, born disfigured and hidden away by his father. When a childish prank accidentally sets his house on fire, Victor is supposedly killed, but years later returns to exact some spectacularly vicious revenge. Hatchet 2 continues his bloody rampage, and from what I'm hearing it's twice as brutal as the original.
Adam Green has already stated that there will be at least two more Hatchet films, so I better start getting my homework done now. The film is being released unrated, which is almost unheard of nowadays. The trailer is extremely violent, and clearly not safe for work. Hatchet 2 is due in theaters on October 1st!
