Any information on the upcoming Batman film is going to leapt upon like a savage animal, even relatively small stuff like this. In an interview with Hero Complex, Christopher Nolan revealed that the actual title of the film will be 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Somehow I think by using this title they're setting us up for an eventual 'The Dark Knight Returns'(ala the classic Batman story).
Also, Nolan drove a stake through the heart of us fans hoping that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be the Riddler by confirming that the film is taking a totally different route.
Nolan: “It won’t be the Riddler,” “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones".
New characters as in new villains? So maybe those Killer Croc rumors can be put to rest too?
There'll be more info later on how Nolan convinced Warner Brothers to ditch the idea of shooting the film in 3D, instead opting for a straight up IMAX release. Hip hip hooray.
