Billy Bob Thornton pushing for a Bad Santa sequel

I don't ask for much around the holidays: good health, winning Powerball numbers, and Mila Kunis under my Christmas tree. Other than that the only thing I really keep asking for is a sequel to Bad Santa, which to me is right up there with A Christmas Story as the only holiday flicks worth revisiting every single year. If you show up at my crib expecting to see Elf or It's a Wonderful Life then you're in for a rude awakening. Elf....yuck.

So it perks me up immensely when stories like this cross the wire. During a presser for his new flick, Faster, the former Mr. Angelina Jolie revealed that not only has there been some talk of making a sequel, but that he's more than into the idea....

"'Bad Santa's' become like a classic Christmas movie. People watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'Miracle on 34th St.' and 'Bad Santa' now is sort of the box set. And there's been talk of making a sequel to it, which I actually would like to do. I've never done a sequel to one of my movies, but that one makes sense to me to do it."

Bring. It. On. Bad Santa was released back in 2003 and starred Thornton, Bernic Mac, Lauren Graham, Tony Cox, and John Ritter in his final live-action theatrical role. Terry Zwigoff(Ghost World) directed, based on a filthy script by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa(The Bad News Bears). The Coen Brothers both produced and did uncredited re-writing of the script. After earning something of a bad reputation before it even saw the light of day, Bad Santa would go on to become a cult favorite, earning over $75M at the box office.
