* I know it's mainly due to the success of Iron Man but I still have a hard time accepting Jon Favreau as a top notch, sought after director. The guy is nearly at the top of everybody's list for the biggest projects, however, and now Disney wants him to direct Magic Kingdom, in which the famous theme park magically comes to life. Favreau is said to be in negotiations right now, and if signed he may try to fit it in before Iron Man 3.
* Alex Kurtzman, co-writer of Michael Bay's Transformers flicks, has managed to snag Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pine to star in his directorial debut, Welcome to People. The film is about a guy who must deliver a portion of his dead father's fortune to a sister he's never met.
* There hasn't been much X-Men: First Class news recently, and this one counts as a minor tidbit, but an interesting one. Candy Aldersen, hair and make-up artist for the film has revealed that Beast(played by Nicholas Hoult) will be in his furry blue form for the origin story. She says... "I've been spying on Beast, he's being made next to our fitting room. He looks big and very blue!"
