Tops at the Box Office

1. Megamind- $47.6M
The holiday season is off to a record breaking start, with Dreamworks' latest animated hit leading the pack. The Will Ferrell led supervillain comedy actually comes in with a greater opening than How to Train Your Dragon, but falls far short of the similarly themed Despicable Me's $56.4M.
2. Due Date- $33.5M
While Todd Phillips' road trip comedy, pairing Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, fell short of The Hangover's $45M opening, it was still enough to surpass Borat for the highest grossing R-rated comedy debut in November history.
3. For Colored Girls- $20.1M
A powerful start for what has to be considered the most seriously themed film in Tyler Perry's storied career, and definitely a departure. Just a few months ago, his Why Did I Get Married Too? opened at over $29M.
4. Red- $8.86M/$71.9M
The Bruce Willis starring action comedy had the best holdover from last week, only dropping 17%.
5. Saw 3D- $8.2M/$38.8M
Dropped 64% from last week and has virtually no chance of besting Paranormal Activity 2.
6. Paranormal Activity 2- $7.3M/$77.2M
7. Jackass 3D- $5.1M/$111M
8. Hereafter- $4.02M/$28.7M
9. Secretariat- $4M/$51M
10. The Social Network- $3.6M/$85M
