She's been at the top of his list to play the Evil Queen in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, one of three productions currently underway based on the classic fairy tale. Well now Vulture is reporting that Roberts has begun "earnest" negotiations for the role, which would make her the first person cast. It's probably a smart move, aiming for the biggest gun right off the bat because her signing will only make the rest of the casting easier.
Tarsem's version is said to be closer to the darker source material, which makes me wonder if anyone will be forced to dance in red hot iron shoes until they die.
