I never got a chance to see director Lynne Ramsay's last film, Morvern Caller, although I was a big fan of her debut feature, Ratcatcher. So when she was first attached to the adaptation of The Lovely Bones, I was pretty excited. Then that whole thing blew up and she left, leaving Peter Jackson to do a terrible job picking up the pieces. But Ramsay's back with her next feature, a powerful looking indie drama starring Tilda Swinton titled We Need to Talk About Kevin.
The film is due to premier next month at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is based on Lionel Shriver's 2003 book about a mother's attempts to cope in the aftermath of her son committing a killing spree at his high school. John C. Reilly and Ezra Miller co-star. Septimovicio has debuted a bunch of images from the film, which you can check out below. I'm dying to see a trailer for this, especially as the score has been laid down by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood.
