A few weeks ago it looked like World War Z was never going to get off the ground, even with Brad Pitt set to star and Marc Forster directing. But financing has been secured and the big zombie war film is now pushing ahead with casting.
Deadline broke the news that Mirielle Enos, star of AMC's series The Killing, will play Karin Lane, the wife of Gerard Lane(Pitt), a politician compiling information from survivors in the aftermath of the great zombie disaster.
J. Michael Straczynski wrote the script, with Matthew Michael Carnahan currently doing rewrites. The big budget film seems headed for a start date later this summer.
