The trailer for The Hangover Part II was released a few weeks ago, and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. I understand trying to recapture what worked to record levels last year, but I think Todd Phillips and Co. might've gone a bit too far. It basically looks like the same movie only set in Thailand. Ultimately it won't matter. It'll make a ton of loot this summer no question, even in the face of a ton of more action oriented blockbusters. Just think, the always irritating Ken Jeong could be part of the two highest grossing R-rated films of all-time. Blech.
Yahoo has premiered a bunch of new character posters for The Hangover part II, and there are three things that stand out to me: 1. Ken Jeong's Leslie Chow character is important enough to earn one. That's scary and a little upsetting. 2. Somebody at Warner Brothers finally remembered that Justin Bartha is in the film. 3. I'd be much happier if that stupid chimp was fed to the fearsome apes from Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
