) is directing, Andy Serkis(Gollum from Lord of the Rings) is doing his performance capture thing as Caesar, the ape who gains unnatural intelligence thanks to experiments conducted by James Franco's character. Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, and Tom Felton also star. Check it out below...Here's hoping that the labscenes where Franco explains his experiment are short because they look painfully boring here. The shot where Caesar has apparently broken into someone's home and is watching as they sleep is down right creepy. And what's with the ape who leaps for the helicopter at the end? Did he gain intelligence by watching old Sylvester Stallone movies or something?
Rise of the Planet of the Apes(I still hate that title) is due to hit theaters on August 5th!
