Sure Shots: James Bond; Men in Black III; Hugh Jackman

* Remember back in the day when it seemed like the James Bond franchise was dead thanks to MGM's financial woes? Those days are long gone now, and James Bond 23 is on the way. Now thanks to a new deal that's been struck, Sony Pictures will be distributing both Bond 23 and Bond 24 whenever it's completed. Also as part of the bargain, Sony could possibly be co-financing on future MGM films. Remember all that talk about Child's Play, Mr. Mom, Poltergeist, and other 80s favorites MGM wanted to remake? I'd start getting ready for 'em if I were you.

* Michael Stuhlbarg(A Serious Man) has joined the cast of Men in Black III in the role once belonging to Sharlto Copley. He'll be playing Griffin, an alien who at the time of Copley's casting was described as a "Yoda-type". Whether or not the character remains as such through all the writers that have come aboard is anyone's guess. If you haven't had a chance to see Stuhlbarg in The Coen Brothers' A Serious Man, make it your top priority. He's equally good on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Thanks to THR who were the first to break that news.

* Man, talk about a reversal of fortune. At one point, Rupert Sanders' Snow White and the Huntsman was the fairy tale film to beat. It had Viggo Mortensen in talks to join, and Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart already on board. But Mortensen dropped out due to...well, it depends on who you ask...and Universal was pursuing Hugh Jackman to fill the void. Now The Wrap is reporting that negotiations with Jackman have ended with no deal in place. So now what are they to do? Is it possible this film never gets made? It's not like we don't already have a plethora of other Snow White flicks on the horizon.
