1st look at Sam Worthington in Wrath of the Titans

After the blur fest that was last year's Clash of the Titans, Warner Brothers went back to the drawing board. Sure it made nearly $500M and helped establish Sam Worthington as a viable action hero(he hasnt proven to be much else, honestly), the film was mostly panned and became the butt of jokes for it's awful post-production 3D, which the studio tried to have done in a month's time. It didn't turn out so well. Despite nobody really asking for it, the studio pushed forward with a sequel. Jonathan Liebesman(Battle: Los Angeles) came aboard as director, and the wise decision was made to actually shoot the film in 3D this time.

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has our first look at the sequel, Wrath of the Titans, which again sees Worthington starring as the demi-god, Perseus. After defeating the Kraken last time, he finds himself in the middle of a war between the Olympian gods and their predecessors, the Titans.

Liam Neeson, Danny Huston, Ralph Fiennes, Edgar Ramirez, Bill Nighy, Toby Kebbell, Gemma Arterton, and Rosamund Pike are starring and probably thanking their lucky stars they won't have to wear anything as silly as the folks in Immortals had to.  Wrath of the Titans will open next year on March 30th.
