There's just one problem with trying to spoof a movie like New Year's Eve, and it's that any attempt to show just how cliche and cornball it is will be met by....how cliche and cornball the real thing is. Nothing compares to how mawkish the real the film actually was, and they were taking it painfully serious. With the said, SNL does a pretty good job here,and Kristen Wiig's "unscripted" Kim Cattral was hilarious. I don't find SNL very funny anymore, but they scored one with me here....
