Those little yellow minions from Despicable Me have pretty much become the unofficial mascots of Illumination Entertainment. They even turn up in their other movies, like a very brief cameo(keep your eyes peeled!) in The Lorax. Everybody loves them, and their silly spinoff short films and video games have proven to be a big hit.
So it makes sense that they'd be the ones to get you amped up for Despicable Me 2, the sequel to the $500M grossing hit about a supervillain(voiced by Steve Carell) who finds his heart warmed by the arrival of three precocious orphans. Plot details on the next film are few, but we know Al Pacino will be playing a new enemy. The new teaser features the minions doing a rendition of the Beach Boys' hit, 'Barbara Ann', only using the word 'Banana' instead. Funny stuff. Despicable Me 2 is set to open on July 3rd 2013. So far away....
