If you're a follower of the indie movie scene, it's going to be pretty hard to miss Kat Coiro over the next few months. Not only is she filming A Case of You, written by and starring Justin Long(Waiting), but she also has the relationship drama, While We Were Here, currently making its way around the festival circuit. But before all of those she has another film which will be appearing in theaters on April 13th.
L!fe Happens stars Krysten Ritter(She's Out of My League) as Kim, a woman living with her two friends(Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson) under the same roof in Los Angeles. When a one night stand leaves Kim pregnant, she must rely on her friends to deal with the drastic change in her life. Jason Biggs, Kristen Johnston, Geoff Stultz, and Justin Kirk co-star. I'm a big fan of all three ladies, and Bosworth(who also stars in While We Were Here) seems to have a particular connection with Coiro films, but this looks terrible. Perhaps it's because I just saw Friends with Kids, which provides such a smart and hilarious look at single parenting, but this doesn't appear to have a brain in its head. Hopefully I'm wrong.
