I know a lot of people who are big fans of The Three Stooges. Own all the DVDs, watch 'em on television, and still find it funny to occasionally mock eyepoke their friends in homage to the iconic comedy trio. But surely even they can't be happy with what the Farrelly Brothers have done to poor Larry, Moe, and Curly? When Shemp and Curly Joe are considered fortunate for being excluded, something has to be wrong.
A new international trailer for this trainwreck has been released, and much like the previous domestic one, it's basically a laugh-free zone. The old schtick of the Stooges punching one another in the nuts and getting hit with pies was fine back then, but it's embarrassing now, and watching talented folks like Sean Hayes and Will Sasso try to sell it is sad. Personally, I never quite understood the whole 'Stooges' thing. And now I could care even less. It's certainly not as timeless as The Little Rascals, which also had an atrocious movie that tried to bring that nostalgia into the modern world.
The Three Stooges opens on April 13th....
