'The Dark Knight Rises' reveals four new banners

Pfft, forget all that secrecy stuff. Warner Brothers has gone into full on marketing mode for The Dark Knight Rises, releasing a ton of new images and seven posters in the span of a few days. Because..y'know, we need to be reminded that the film is actually coming out this summer and stuff.  Chances are this is all just the tip of the iceberg, and as evidence of that we've now got the release of four new character banners featuring some powerful images we've seen previously.

Most will remember these shots from when Christopher Nolan was in Pittsburgh shooting that massive crowd scene, where Batman and Bane were battling at the footsteps of City Hall.  The most striking of these images was when a seemingly triumphant Bane stood atop Batman's Bat-Tumbler while his army of followers watched. Of all, this was probably the moment that best signified the strength of Batman's enemy.

There is no film coming out this entire year that is as eagerly awaited as The Dark Knight Rises, but can it possibly ever live up to the hype we've placed on it? Is it fair to expect it to surpass the greatness of The Dark Knight? Or should we be tempering our expectations?  Whatever the case, these posters are a good way to build up the anticipation for its July 20th arrival...
