'Rascal Raccoon's Raging Revenge' to be directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson

What would Wile E. Coyote do if he ever actually caught the Roadrunner? Would he finish him off? And if he did, what would be left for the "super genius" to do? Who would he use his vaunted rocket skates on? Would his life just totally spiral without his nemesis around? This is sorta the premise of Oni Press's fourth-wall breaking comic, Rascal Raccoon's Raging Revenge, and we'll get to see how it plays out on the silver screen.

THR reports that Todd Strauss-Schulson(A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) will direct a live-action/CGI adaptation of Brendan Hay and Justin Wagner's comic, which was released just late last year. The story takes place in Tooney Terrace, where the fun-loving Toonies are in a rivalry with the jealous Meanies. No Meanie has ever killed a Toonie after years of cat 'n mouse shenanigans, but when Rascal Raccoon finally captures and kills his enemy, Jumpin' Jackalope, he's overjoyed! Well, at first. With no purpose to his life any longer, Rascal Raccoon finds a new target to obsess over: the animator who created him!

Warner Brothers is the studio backing this one, which makes sense considering they are the home of the Looney Tunes characters from which the comic drew inspiration. The script comes from Matt Vogel, who wrote Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.
