Margot Robbie to play Leonardo DiCaprio's second wife in 'The Wolf of Wall Street'

The once hyped ABC series, Pan Am, may have been a short-lived flop but it hasn't really hurt the careers of everyone involved. One of the many lovely ladies that had so many high on the show was Brit actress, Margot Robbie, and she's seen her name mentioned for a number of high profile gigs in the last few months. Now she's finally landed one of them, and it happens to be one of the most sought after in all of Hollywood.

Just a few hours after we learned Cristin Milioti was in line to play Leonardo DiCaprio's first wife in The Wolf of Wall Street, now Deadline reports that Margot Robbie is set to play his other wife. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir about his stockbroking days at a corrupt firm, where his hard drinking, drug fueled ways ultimately led to his downfall. Robbie will play Nadine, Belfort's second wife after his infidelity cost him his first marriage.  The role is being described as the female lead, which means we'll probably be seeing significantly more of Robbie than Milioti. Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, and Kyle Chandler make up the rest of the cast, which only gets better by the day.

Robbie had been close to snagging the female lead in Akiva Goldsman's adaptation of Winter's Tale. She also was the frontrunner for a role in Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles film before that got put on indefinite hold. It's probably safe to assume that once production gears back up, Robbie will again be in contention.

Filming on The Wolf of Wall Street begins late this summer.
