Sure Shots: Justin Bartha; The Duplass Brothers; Shannon Woodward


* Justin Bartha(The Hangover) will play Dead Boys lead singer and guitarist, Stiv Bators, in Randall Miller's punk rock biopic, CBGB. He'll join Alan Rickman, Malin Akerman, Johnny Galecki, Ashley Greene, Joel David Moore, Rupert Grint and more in the film chronicling the famous New York City club that was the home to many of punk music's greatest bands.  Filming begins next month. * Jay and Mark Duplass(Jeff, Who Lives At Home) are in talks to write and direct a remake Same Time, Next Year, the 1978 romantic comedy which starred Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn. The story follows a man and woman who have a one night stand even though they are married to others. They decide to meet once a year to rekindle the sparks, and proceed to do so for the next twenty years. The original film was directed by Robert Mulligan and received four Academy Award nominations. * With Mamie Gummer dropping out of the title role in the indie dramedy, Claire's Cambodia, she's now been replaced by Shannon Woodward(Man of the House). Written and directed by Stacy Sherman(God Sleeps in Rwanda), the film stars Mary Kay Place, Sarah Paulson, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Joe Lo Truglio, and Casey Wilson. Billy Ray(Shattered Glass) is producing the film which follows three estranged sisters whose resentment and jealousy towards one another isn't dented by the news of their father's terminal illness.
