The Griswolds Go Back to Wally World in the New 'Vacation' Trailer

Perhaps it's unfair that the upcoming Vacation film keeps getting labeled a reboot or a remake. It's actually neither of those things. Instead it's a sequel following the next generation of road trip-troubled Griswolds, this time led by grown-up son Rusty, played by Ed Helms.

After a red band trailer that was much funnier than anybody could have hoped for, a new trailer keeps the laughs coming. Written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses 2), the film has Rusty taking his family on the same road trip to Wally World that his parents Clark and Ellen (played by the returning Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo) took him on as a child. The journey is predictably doomed in ways that echo the original, but there's enough here that it should stand on its own.

Also starring Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, and Leslie Mann, Vacation hits theaters on July 29th.
