'The Woman in Black' sequel details revealed

The Woman in Black proved to be a highly successful horror venture, not just for star Daniel Radcliffe, but also for Hammer Films. The legendary UK studio who specialized in Gothic thrillers for much of their 80 year existence, banked on audiences being curious about Radcliffe's first steps outside of the Harry Potter realm. They were right to take the gamble, and the James Watkins-directed film took in over $120M on a minuscule budget around $15M.  Eager to keep up the momentum, Hammer started to spread word about their plans for a sequel back in April, to be written by Jon Croker, a story editor on the previous film. Titled The Woman in Black: Angels of Death, we're now learning what the plot of the film will be, courtesy of Shocktilyoudrop...

PLOT: Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant.  Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons.  Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.

It's still very early days on this one, as a director has yet to be found. I hope Hammer isn't jumping to the conclusion they can throw any old mess out there, slap The Woman in Black on it, and the film will be a success. Part of what made that film work was Radcliffe's likability and quiet intensity, supported by a strong script by the reliable Jane Goldman(Kick-Ass). Without either of them aboard this one, certainly there's reason for concern.
