Holy crap it's been a long time coming for Joe Dante's The Hole. Matter of fact, it's been a long time since the Gremlins director's last feature film. The Hole marks his first since 2003's Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and for awhile there it seemed like it wasn't going to happen at all. Finished back in 2009 and debuting at that year's Toronto International Film Festival, the film just couldn't find domestic distribution all this time, but that's no longer a problem.
Set for release on September 28th, The Hole follows a mother(Teri Polo) who moves with her two sons to the countryside to start a new life. Rather than finding peace and quiet, they discover a seemingly bottomless hole in the basement that holds all of their deepest fears and may be a gateway to Hell.
Haley Bennett stars as the hot girl next door, with Bruce Dern, Chris Massoglia, and Nathan Gamble co-starring. Check out the tailer below...
